We are seeking a skilled and dependable X-Ray Technician to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
The X-Ray Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist orthopedic providers in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a high level of professionalism, patient care, and technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic radiologic exams as ordered by orthopedic providers, including extremity, spine, and joint imaging
Ensure proper positioning and technique to obtain high-quality images with minimal radiation exposure
Verify physician orders and patient identification in accordance with compliance guidelines
Maintain accurate imaging records and assist with uploading images into EMR/PACS
Prepare and assist patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort
Maintain and calibrate X-ray equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance
Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols
Support clinical team with occasional back-office duties as needed (e.g., rooming patients, assisting with casting/splinting)
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and front office staff to ensure efficient workflow
Maintain continuing education and current certifications as required
Qualifications:
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Current ARRT certification (R) and valid State of Michigan Radiologic Technologist license
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Preferred:
1+ year of experience in an orthopedic or outpatient setting
Familiarity with PACS, EMR systems (e.g., Athenahealth or EPIC)
Knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and orthopedic imaging best practices
Schedule & Compensation:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift (no weekends or holidays)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, 401(k), and continuing education support
